A serious waste of time when you come down to it.

  6. --Serious waste of time--

I'm not sure it's that. Casual morelike. Time for a changeup. Go weird. Take drugs. Have a holiday.

I have it but I never look at googleanalytics. It's not accurate unless you have a real pumping site. You should stick statcounter in as well. Also, have you looked at the feedburner and googlereader/bloglines stats?

I love seeing the things you find. A different side of history. As another said, do it for yourself, but there's some of us out there that enjoy it too.

  13. Don't believe them toooo rigidly either about the the feed numbers. They aren't truly accurate and as I said, get statcounter and between the 2 you should get a 'feeling' about the traffic level. I know: it's weird man; you'd think there would be better approximations. I think some of it is due to sensitivity levels with js search engine pingery (at least with the regular stats). I think there's this whole microbe world of spidering pingery robotic entities careening around the web trying to suck the life force out of sites and counters are at war with them trying to distinguish human beings.

  14. tellurian-- Your site is a breath of fresh air. It's a museum, quiet by nature. You've got more visitors than you know.
