I'm moving house this weekend. I had a garage sale to get rid of some of the junk that has accumulated over the years. One of the things for sale was a Macintosh SE*. I pulled it out of its bag, plugged it in, and it booted up like it had been used yesterday. Tucked in the side pocket of the bag was this invoice. A little bit of history that documents the computerisation of the Yellow Pages in Australia. The things that strikes me as strange when I review it are that we bought five machines but we only bought one copy of each of the programs and that a 'diskette storage box' cost $31.
*No, it didn't sell but I had a nicely nostalgic time playing 'Dungeon of Doom' and 'Scruffy'.
