Karl Konrad Ferdinand Maria von Amira (1848-1930), studied jurisprudence in Munich. His collection of drawings, copperplate prints, photographs, etchings, postcards, watercolours and blueprints documenting court scenes, punishments, trials by ordeal and oaths was intended for publication as an Atlas of Legal Archaeology.
